As mayors and governors lament over the United States pull out of the Paris Climate Accords, actual scientists have been at work. 

United Nations' treaties, accords, and what have you are about politics and social engineering, none of those agreements are based on actual science. If they were, people would come to realize that the sun creates weather and our sun is headed toward a Solar Grand Minimum.

No Global Warming. No Climate Change... just a regularly scheduled break in solar activity that will lead us into a mini ice age like what was seen during the Maunder Minimum:

The Maunder minimum is the name given to a period of extreme solar inactivity that occurred between 1645 and 1710. Of particular interest is that this period of inactivity corresponds closely to one of the coldest periods of the so-called "Little Ice Age" in Europe, a time of long, cold winters that caused severe hardships in the pre-industrial revolution world. This has led scientists to extensively study the possible influences of solar activity on terrestrial climate, as well as examine other stars for evidence of activity cycle behavior similar to the Sun's.

Combustion jet engines rarely make contrails, and when one is made in that rare instance, the trail does not last for miles and miles and miles spreading out over the landscape to form stretchy haze.

Isn't it to save us from Global Warming? GeoEngineering programs have been in effect for over 65 years, so any fluctuations in climate and weather extremes can be directly blamed on these illegal programs.

So there is no Global Warming or Climate Change. 

What the atmosphere has become is a weapon and it is being used against humanity. Toxic chemicals sprayed, for what? 

With the problems America faces with starving children, homeless veterans, underempolyed city workers, ballooning government debt, yet our elected officials great and small have money to waste on covering the skies with poison.

Eta Carinae Brought to LIfe by NASA

NASA has set its sights on extrasolar suns and planets in the article, NASA Observatories Take an Unprecedented Look into Superstar Eta Carinae. 

"Changes in the X-rays are a direct probe of the collision zone and reflect changes in how these stars lose mass," said Michael Corcoran, an astrophysicist with the Universities Space Research Association headquartered in Columbia, Maryland. He and his colleagues compared periastron emission measured over the past 20 years by NASA's Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer, which ceased operation in 2012, and the X-ray Telescope aboard NASA's Swift satellite. In July 2014, as the stars rushed toward each other, Swift observed a series of flares culminating in the brightest X-ray emission yet seen from Eta Carinae. This implies a change in mass loss by one of the stars, but X-rays alone cannot determine which one.

Eta Carinae is a binary system containing the most luminous and massive star within 10,000 light-years. A long-term study led by astronomers at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, combined data from NASA satellites, ground-based observing campaigns and theoretical modeling to produce the most comprehensive picture of Eta Carinae to date. New findings include Hubble Space Telescope images that show decade-old shells of ionized gas racing away from the largest star at a million miles an hour, and new 3-D models that reveal never-before-seen features of the stars' interactions.

Located about 7,500 light-years away in the southern constellation of Carina, Eta Carinae comprises two massive stars whose eccentric orbits bring them unusually close every 5.5 years. Both produce powerful gaseous outflows called stellar winds, which enshroud the stars and stymy efforts to directly measure their properties. Astronomers have established that the brighter, cooler primary star has about 90 times the mass of the sun and outshines it by 5 million times. While the properties of its smaller, hotter companion are more contested, Goddard's Ted Gull and his colleagues think the star has about 30 solar masses and emits a million times the sun's light.

At closest approach, or periastron, the stars are 140 million miles (225 million kilometers) apart, or about the average distance between Mars and the sun. Astronomers observe dramatic changes in the system during the months before and after periastron. These include X-ray flares, followed by a sudden decline and eventual recovery of X-ray emission; the disappearance and re-emergence of structures near the stars detected at specific wavelengths of visible light; and even a play of light and shadow as the smaller star swings around the primary.

During the past 11 years, spanning three periastron passages, the Goddard group has developed a model based on routine observations of the stars using ground-based telescopes and multiple NASA satellites. According to this model, the interaction of the two stellar winds accounts for many of the periodic changes observed in the system. The winds from each star have markedly different properties: thick and slow for the primary, lean and fast for the hotter companion. The primary's wind blows at nearly 1 million mph and is especially dense, carrying away the equivalent mass of our sun every thousand years. By contrast, the companion's wind carries off about 100 times less material than the primary's, but it races outward as much as six times faster.

Researchers in the United Kingdom (UK) have discovered how the sun's magnetic field creates energetic outcomes like thunder and lightning on Earth.

Abstract

Observational studies have reported solar magnetic modulation of terrestrial lightning on a range of time scales, from days to decades. The proposed mechanism is two-step: lightning rates vary with galactic cosmic ray (GCR) flux incident on Earth, either via changes in atmospheric conductivity and/or direct triggering of lightning. GCR flux is, in turn, primarily controlled by the heliospheric magnetic field (HMF) intensity. Consequently, global changes in lightning rates are expected. This study instead considers HMF polarity, which doesn?t greatly affect total GCR flux. Opposing HMF polarities are, however, associated with a 40?60% difference in observed UK lightning and thunder rates. As HMF polarity skews the terrestrial magnetosphere from its nominal position, this perturbs local ionospheric potential at high latitudes and local exposure to energetic charged particles from the magnetosphere. We speculate as to the mechanism(s) by which this may, in turn, redistribute the global location and/or intensity of thunderstorm activity.

Planetary harmonics play a role in how the sun acts and how solar activity over the centuries predicts a solar minimum by 2030. January through April, Arizona was hot on record but a coming El Nino could exacerbate our drought conditions. The sun's polar shift is still ongoing.

Lots of news this morning. An earthquake off the coast of Panama was a 6.8 and the L-wave transversed the globe. The sunspot activity keeps slowing down while the magnetic pole shift on the sun wants to complete its flip but has no gumption to do so. 

Another radiation problem but this time it is in Iraq. Missing or otherwise unaccounted for radioactive materials are becoming a great concern: Missing radioactive material may pose 'dirty bomb' threat: IAEA.

Is it about time we had the "talk" with our government officials?

Our government wants us to be so afraid yet it will not keep tabs on radioactive materials.

Ever since Penzias and Wilson discovered that the Earth was surrounded by microwave energy, astronomers have been quick to postulate that the apparent ~3K signal represented the signature of the Big Bang. Yet long ago, Gustav Kirchhoff insisted that the setting of temperatures, using the laws of thermal emission, required enclosure. Clearly, the Big Bang can never meet this requirement. In this presentation, it will be demonstrated that the microwave fields, which surround the earth and have excited distant molecules, can be generated by the hydrogen bond within water in the condensed state. A review of the COBE and WMAP will be presented, revealing that the microwave anisotropy maps have no scientific validity. The data lack both signal to noise and reproducibility. Furthermore, the PLANCK satellite findings will be discussed. These data provide unambiguous evidence that powerful microwave fields do not exist at L2. Penzias and Wilson measured water on Earth. The correct assignment of this signal is vital to better understanding our own planet.

Pierre-Marie Robitaille, PhD is a Professor of Radiology at The Ohio State University, with a joint appointment in Chemical Physics. He initially trained as a spectroscopist and has wide ranging knowledge of instrumentation in the radio and microwave bands. A recognized expert in image acquisition and analysis, Professor Robitaille was responsible for doubling the world record in Magnetic Resonance Imaging in 1998. In 2000, he turned his attention to thermodynamics and astrophysics, demonstrating that the universality advanced in Kirchhoff's Law of Thermal Emission is invalid. He has published extensively on the microwave background, highlighting that this signal arises from water on the Earth and has no relationship to cosmology and has recently published a paper on the Liquid Metallic Hydrogen Solar Model (LMHSM).

Ancient Technique to Water Your Garden

In the hot Arizona sun, do you feel you are doing nothing but watering your plants day after day?

There may be a simple and economical solution to over watering your yard: clay pots. In the article, Clay Pot Irrigation - a simple adaptation of an ancient technique, gardeners are shown how to use clay pots to water their plants.

Get hold of an ordinary 25 cm (10 inch) terracotta pot. Plug the hole with a wine cork. Bury it almost up to its neck in the soil but not too deep so that soil falls into the pot. Fill it with water. Add a terracotta lid.

Plant seedlings or sow seeds 18 inches around the base of the pot. Water will slowly seep out through the clay wall of the pot, directly irrigating the soil around the pot. As the roots grow they will wrap themselves around the pot. The plants takes up almost all the water, and because the water source is now in the ground, evaporation is almost nil.

Keep the pot filled up and you will provide a steady source of irrigation when your plants need it.

It is that simple.

With the heat of the desert on the rise, gardeners can take comfort in knowing their plants are well cared for all afternoon long without the mess and time of using a hose.

The Sun Flips Out, Geeks Get Excited, and Climate Change is Crushed

Every eleven years the sun flips its magnetic field. To show how this happens, NASA has released a short visualization. This animation shows the green (positive) polarity switching with the purple (negative) polarity from 1997 to 2013.

 NASA - The Sun Reverses its Magnetic Poles

“A reversal of the sun's magnetic field is, literally, a big event,” NASA’s Dr. Tony Phillips said in a statement issued on the space agency’s website.

“The sun's polar magnetic fields weaken, go to zero and then emerge again with the opposite polarity. This is a regular part of the solar cycle,” Stanford solar physicist Phil Scherrer explained.

The process has been slow and steady, with solar physicist Todd Hoeksama telling Metro: “It’s kind of like a tide coming in or going out. Each little wave brings a little more water in, and eventually you get to the full reversal.”

Scherrer explained earlier in December that “the sun's north pole has already changed sign, while the South Pole is racing to catch up.” 

There are far-reaching consequences to what happens with the sun:

“The domain of the sun's magnetic influence (also known as the 'heliosphere') extends billions of kilometers beyond Pluto. Changes to the field's polarity ripple all the way out to the Voyager probes, on the doorstep of interstellar space,” Phillips explained. 

As astrophysicists know, while real life data is kept out of the public sphere to prop up the Global Warming and Climate Change hoaxes, the sun is the catalyst for our climate and weather. For instance:

Solar Cycle 24 has been viewed as quite unpredictable. First, it came late by about a year, with extremely low activity recorded throughout 2009. This prompted astronomers to shift a predicted 2012 peak to 2013. Scientists say the cycle is already among the weakest reported and if the trend continues, the Earth might see another Little Ice Age. 

I have been discussing the Earth's return to a colder climate for decades, but the fear-mongering of a few cult leaders like Maurice Strong and Al Gore have all but pushed scientific facts out the window for the irresponsible Sustainability Movement from UNESCO and ICLEI.

Even the founder of the Weather Channel, John Coleman with thirty thousand others, comprised of scientists and experts willing and able, want to sue Al Gore about the scam, as stated in the article: Global Warming Fraud.

So much for a consensus.

In the meantime, when you go out in the afternoon and feel the warm rays of the sun, remember to blame the electromagnetic star when we reach 124 Fahrenheit in the summers, and not your car.

Unless we really do go into a mini Ice Age, then surely the Climate Change hoax will somehow be responsible instead of the reality of astrophysics. Wonder what name they'll give this weather fluctuation: Alien Invasion?

Touch and Go Comet

Scientists have been eagerly awaiting the return of Comet ISON, but after the comet's brush with the Sun, little hope was found.

Comet ISON appeared to be non-existent... until now.

Some remnants have been discovered. How long, how bright, how much of the nucleus survived are the questions of the year. If enough survived, then ISON could be a bright visage in the night's sky during the month of December.

"This has unquestionably been the most extraordinary comet that ... I, and many other astronomers, have ever witnessed," Karl Battams wrote, an astrophysicist with the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington. "This story isn't over yet."

And hungry stargazers will be waiting for Comet ISON to write more across the sky.
