Movie Night: How Vaccines Harm Child Brain Development

Staff Writer, DB Holmes
Vaccines / Child Brain Development
______________________________________

If you are a parent of a baby or young children, expecting a baby or if you are a health professional you need to watch this lecture filmed at a Radio Liberty Seminar in October 2008 in which Russell Blaylock MD discusses the effect of vaccines on the developing brain and his concerns about the increasingly crowded infant vaccination schedule.

Dr Blaylock also provides compelling arguments why the vaccination of pregnant women is harmful and a hidden cause of neurological disorders. He also discusses the toxic ingredients in vaccines such as formaldehyde, mercury, aluminum and MSG and the detrimental effects they have on the brain and nervous system. He also touches on other vaccine-related topics, such as the conflicts of interests influencing vaccination policy due to the influence the pharmaceutical industry exerts on the government and the pharmaceutical industry, the polio epidemics in Africa, mercury toxicity and other medical scandals.

CDC officials claim vaccines are safe and effective. Is that true? If vaccines are safe, why has the incidence of autism increased from one case of autism in 10,000 to one case of autism in every 50 American children in the past few years, in parallel with a huge increase in the number of vaccines the government is promoting as part of the childhood vaccination schedule?

If childhood vaccines are safe, why are well over half a million vaccinated American children afflicted with autism, while non-vaccinated Amish and Mennonite children rarely suffer from the disorder? Why has the incidence of asthma, allergies, autoimmune disease, Type 1 diabetes and neurological conditions also dramatically increased in vaccinated children?

Furthermore, why do obstetricians give pregnant women influenza vaccines that contain a toxic dose of mercury and why are new babies injected with the Hepatitis B vaccine within hours of birth when there is no medical justification for it?

In this informative lecture, Dr Blaylock addresses these and many other vaccine-related issues. If you are concerned about your and your family's health and want to make an informed decision on behalf of your child or children, this is a really important video for you to watch. You will never look at vaccination and the so-called health care system the same way again.

Skywatching Opportunities Bring Planets and Moon Rays

Staff Writer, DL Mullan
Astronomy / Stargazing
_______________________________

June is a bit quiet when it comes to stargazing events. However, every night Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn can be seen as well as different modes of the Moon. In the morning hours close to dawn, Venus shines bright.
  • June 13 - Full Moon. The Moon will be directly opposite the Earth from the Sun and will be fully illuminated as seen from Earth. This phase occurs at 04:11 UTC. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Strawberry Moon because it signaled the time of year to gather ripening fruit. It also coincides with the peak of the strawberry harvesting season. This moon has also been known as the Full Rose Moon and the Full Honey Moon.
  • June 21 - June Solstice. The June solstice occurs at 10:51 UTC. The North Pole of the earth will be tilted toward the Sun, which will have reached its northernmost position in the sky and will be directly over the Tropic of Cancer at 23.44 degrees north latitude. This is the first day of summer (summer solstice) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of winter (winter solstice) in the Southern Hemisphere.
  • June 27 - New Moon. The Moon will be directly between the Earth and the Sun and will not be visible from Earth. This phase occurs at 08:08 UTC. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere.

Tonight, the skies are clear for stargazing.

In the early evening expect to see Mercury very close to the western horizon. Jupiter will set soon after as he trails Orion in the Constellation Gemini.

Mars and Saturn will dominate the sky for the rest of the evening until the waxing gibbous moon rises.

In the early morning hours, Venus will rise before the sun makes his appearance at dawn.

Mid and Late May Stargazing Events

Staff Writer, DB Holmes
Astronomy / Stargazing
__________________________________

May is full of great nights for skywatching:
Phoenix at 11pm.
May 14 – Full Moon, 3:16 a.m. The visible Moon is fully illuminated by direct sunlight. Though the Moon is only technically in this phase for a few seconds, it is considered “full” for the entire day of the event, and appears full for three days. May’s full Moon with be a “supermoon,” meaning it coincides with the Moon’s perigee, or closest point to the Earth, making it larger in appearance and causing exceptionally high tides.

May 18 – Moon at perigee (its closest point to the Earth), 8 a.m.

May 21 – Last Quarter Moon, 8:59 a.m. One-half of the Moon appears illuminated by direct sunlight while the illuminated part is decreasing.

May 25 – Mercury at greatest eastern elongation. A body in space is at elongation is when it reaches its farthest angle from the Sun, as viewed from Earth. This is the best time to view an inferior planet – one inside of the Earth’s orbit.

May 28 – New Moon, 2:40 p.m. The Moon is not illuminated by direct sunlight.

_______________________________

Tonight, stargazing weather will be fair. Cloudy conditions will turn patchy as the night progresses. Those stargazers who are out when the clouds only obstruct 36% of the sky later on will see Mars followed by Saturn.

For skywatchers who caught a glimpse of a shiny planet after sundown, Mercury has come from the other side of the Sun and is now setting in the West close to the horizon.

Here's the Phoenix night sky for tonight as of 8pm:

FDA Solves the Radiation of Seafood by Irradiating Seafood, What?

Staff Writer, J.J. West
Food / Radiation
________________________________

In its continuing effort to destroy food and nutrition, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has decided to irradiate seafood:
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA or we) is amending our current food additive regulations to allow the safe use of ionizing radiation on crustaceans (e.g., crab, shrimp, lobster, crayfish, and prawns) to control foodborne pathogens and extend the shelf life. Our action responds to a food additive petition submitted by the National Fisheries Institute. Our decision is based on a rigorous safety assessment that considered 1) potential toxicity, 2) the effect of irradiation on nutrients, and 3) potential microbiological risk that may result from treating crustaceans with ionizing radiation. The evaluation also considered previous evaluations of the safety of irradiation of other foods including poultry, meat, molluscan shellfish, iceberg lettuce, and fresh spinach. This rule covers raw, frozen, cooked, partially cooked, shelled, or dried crustaceans, or cooked, or ready-to-cook, crustaceans processed with spices or small amounts of other food ingredients.

At the maximum permitted dose of 6.0 kiloGray, this new use of ionizing radiation will reduce, but not entirely eliminate, the number of pathogenic (illness causing) microorganisms in or on crustaceans. The maximum dosage of irradiation approved is capable of reducing a number of pathogens that may be found in crustaceans, including Listeria, Vibrio, and E. coli. Irradiation is not a substitute for proper food-handling practices; therefore crustaceans treated with ionizing radiation must be stored, handled, and cooked in the same way as non-irradiated foods.

Under 21 CFR 179.26(c), we require that irradiated foods bear the international symbol for irradiation (radura) and carry the statement "Treated with radiation" or "Treated by irradiation" on the food label. Consumers will continue to be able to identify irradiated foods, including crustaceans, by the presence of the irradiation statement and symbol on the label. For foods not in package form, the logo and phrase must be displayed to the purchaser with either the labeling of the bulk container plainly in view or a counter sign, car, or other appropriate device bearing the information that the product has been treated with radiation. We do not require that multi-ingredient foods that contain ingredients that have been irradiated (e.g., spices) be labeled if the food itself has not been irradiated, nor do we require labeling of irradiated food served in restaurants.
Great, the FDA can not guarantee the safety of food products with or without radiation, but now seafood is more radioactive. This move might be to hide the fact that Fukushima radiation is more prevalent in the food supply than the United States government would like to admit. Radiating seafood can be used to mask the fact that people are finding high levels of radiation in their sushi.

Publicly radiate seafood for safety. Radiation readings cannot be traced to Japan.  Problem solved.

Still one has to wonder if in the United Nation's Codex Alimentarius of food dictatorship and nutrient destruction, if there isn't a chapter called: Do You Like Radiation with your Mercury Poisoning?

The history of Codex Alimentarius (Food Code) began protecting the health of consumers but then the United Nations turned over control to the very corporations that are responsible for creating unhealthy food crises for money making opportunities:
In 2002, the FAO and WHO had serious concerns about the direction of Codex and hired an external consultant to determine its performance since 1962 and to designate which direction to take the trade organization [2]. The consultant concluded that Codex should be immediately scrapped and eliminated. It was at this time that big industry realized the full monetary potential of this organization and exerted its powerful influence. The updated outcome was a toned down report asking Codex to address 20 various concerns within the organization.

Since 2002, the Codex Alimentarius Commission has covertly surrendered its role as an international public health and consumer protection organization. Under the helm of big industry, the sole surreptitious purpose of the new codex is to increase profits for the global corporate juggernauts while controlling the world through food. The implicit understanding of their philosophy is that if you control food, you control the world.

For more information, please read: Dr. Gregory Damato's: Codex Alimentarius: Population Control Under the Guise of Consumer Protection. It's a real eyeopener. It's the TPP of corporate food control.

If you would like to lodge a complaint, please specify: Docket No. FDA-2001-F-0049 (formerly Docket No. 01F-0047). All submissions must include the agency name and docket number.

The address to see if the FDA has lost its mind is:

Fish or Not to Fish, Dinner Decisions

Staff Writer, DL Mullan
Health/Life Style
________________________________________

Many Americans love to put seafood on their plates. Why not? It's supposed to be a healthier alternative to red meat. Plus, seafood tastes wonderful!

Thanks to corporate and government irresponsibility, the oceans of the world have become over fished and polluted. Moreover, the oil spill and subsequent spraying of Correxit in the Gulf of Mexico has left that food source poisoned and some areas dying. Fukashima radiation has made this food source from the Pacific Ocean inedible as well.

Unless the seafood you are eating comes from Alaska or Northern Atlantic areas, seafood is not a viable option for eating anymore. Most fish from private and foreign fisheries are not healthy either.

What to do?

This article was inspired by the "12 fish you should never, ever eat." In reality, any fatty fish will contain a host of carcinogens, PCPs, mercury, and possibly petroleum and Correxit, if from that region.  Fish with less fat to them usually contain less of these horrible chemicals. If you choose farmed fish, then you are now eating antibiotics and other veterinarian pharmaceuticals. Foreign farmed fish are not as regulated as U.S. companies are and their fish could contain other contaminates in addition.

But back to the question of what to do? Research the Gulf Coast and the oil spill before buying any seafood from there. Ask why there is a mainstream media black out of activists if there is truly nothing wrong.

Search how radiation from Japan's failed nuclear reactor is affecting the Pacific Ocean. Ask why the government is not reporting on the radiation levels and has shut down it's detectors on the west coast, especially in key areas.

Ask questions. It's your food. Your health. Your life.

Sky View Nov 15-24, 2013

Staff Writer, DL Mullan
Environment
_______________________________________

A favorite activity for some VDP residents is to do a little stargazing and November 2013 will not disappoint.

In the evenings, Venus can be seen in the South, Southwestern sky as the Moon continues to get brighter until the Full Moon on November 18th and decreases through the Last Quarter on the 25th and New Moon on December 2nd.

The image above details how one can find the Comet ISON on the 24th. With a telescope or binoculars, this comet will be sure to be a crowd pleaser.

If you are up later in the evening, you will be sure to see the Seven Sisters overhead followed by Orion and then the bright Jupiter. Even with a pair of good binoculars, a viewer can see pinpricks of light shining around the aura of Jupiter, that would be his moons.

The next three mornings will show Mercury about 10 degrees above the horizon and will be at its apex on the 17th before sunrise.

So grab a sweater and your favorite apparatus... the sky is full of viewable goodies for the rest of this November.
