Movie Night: Legacy of The Westlake Nuclear Waste Landfill

Staff Writer, DB Holmes
Landfills / Nuclear Waste
______________________________

On this edition of DTRH Popeye welcomes back to the broadcast Dawn Chapman of Just Moms STL (www.stlradwastelegacy.com/). The two of them have a very down to earth conversation about: The reality of what is going on currently with the landfill, and the ongoing underground fire at the regular waste landfill next door; What this reality means for the people who live there; The resistance at every government level that they have encountered while trying to get answers; The need for community wide action on the ground there; Some solutions to start with, and more. Throughout the broadcast they stress the point to the people in the area affected by Westlake that they are not alone and as isolated as it may seem. Tune into this powerful broadcast.

U.S. Radiation Report 23 Nov 2014

Staff Writer, J.J. West
Radiation / Fukushima Fall Out
______________________________

Phoenix and Tucson's radiation levels increased the week before Thanksgiving. What is going on? When is the United States going to get serious about Fukushima?
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency RadNet radiation monitors have detected renewed surges in air readings of dangerous beta radiation across the country. Over a dozen metropolitan test sites registered four-month highs.

Impacted cities include San Diego, Bakersfield, Phoenix, Amarillo, Montgomery and Madison. Some of these sites recorded beta readings literally going off the chart at 1,000 total beta counts per minute (CPM). EnviroReporter.com and others including experts and manufacturers, consider 100 CPM to be an alarm trigger. Many American cities surpassed this threshold in this latest reporting period.

Has Japan decided to create a gold-back monetary system?

Will Japan's Credit Rating Agency assist the US-Japan Joint Committee to complete the necessary agreements and make their financial system based on sound money?

The world is still waiting to see if: Is Japan on the Verge of a Finance Breakthrough?

There appears to be enough on receipt (gold and cash) in banks for Japan's use to reset their currency and banking system.

What is Japan waiting for?

Is Japan on the Verge of a Financial Breakthrough?

Staff Writer, R. Patrick Chapman

The attached agreement has been seen as Japan's way of creating a sound money system for their country.

With the ups and downs, especially decade after decade of depressions and recessions, a sound currency backed by the Gold Standard would bring that country some welcomed relief from banker created bubbles, booms, and bursts.

Is Japan going to sign the agreement? Is Ambassador Caroline Kennedy aware of this crucial step in saving Japan's economy?

Even save Japan from the Fukushima disaster as outlined in Article 8 of this agreement?

Only time will tell if Japan has indeed accepted this financial breakthrough.

Radiation and You, 311 the Gift that Keeps on Giving

Staff Writer, DL Mullan
Fukushima / Radiation
___________________________________________

Fukushima radiation has been spilling into the planet for over three years now, but not to worry. That's what our federal agencies say:  "Radiation? What radiation? We have no solutions to the problem that we'll never acknowledge having. Have a nice day."

Doesn't it feel as if no one in the United States government cares what is happening over in Japan?

Since the American public has not been versed in radiation, its measurement, or consequences, we are going to do our best to explain it all.

In the article by Matt Wood, Understanding Radiation: Becquerels and Sieverts, he states:
One becquerel is defined as the decay of one atom of a radioisotope per second. So if a radiation detector (for example, a Geiger counter) detects the radiation of one decay coming from a sample in one second, then that sample would be said to contain one becquerel of radiation. A sample emitting radiation from one hundred decays per second would be said to have a radioactivity of 100 becquerels.

Radioactivity is often expressed in becquerels per unit of volume or weight, to express how much radioactive material is contained in a sample. But the unit of volume or weight is not fixed, so we may see becquerels per kilogram (Bq/kg), becquerels per litre (Bq/l), becquerels per cubic meter (Bq/m3), or becquerels per cubic centimetre (Bq/cm3). Of course we need to pay careful attention to this because 100 Bq/cm3 indicates 1000 times more radioactive material than 100Bq/l, which in turn indicates 1000 times more than 100Bq/m3.

A measurement does not necessarily reflect the absorption or damage done by a specific radioactive ion. With the material exposure known, scientists can determine the absorbed dose. The energy from the radiation absorbed is measured in joules per kilogram, or a special unit called grays.

So the absorbed dose is multiplied by a weighting factor (1 for beta and gamma radiation, and 20 for alpha radiation). The result is called equivalent dose and it is expressed in sieverts. This is essentially a measure of the amount of potential damage to the body from a given amount of radiation. Since one sievert is very large, we usually hear of the much smaller millisieverts (1/1000 sievert) or microsieverts (1/100000 sievert).
The dose then can measure a one time exposure or the accumulation over a lifetime. Radiation is so dangerous because it can damage our bodies by breaking the chemical bonds in our cells.

Which brings us to our dose of Fukushima radiation:
Dr Paolo Scampa, a physicist in the European Union, recently stated “The Cs137 radioactivity [Fukushima Daiichi] is about 6,89E18 Bq and around 2100 kg. This activity represents a potential internal radiotoxicity of 6,61 billion Lethal Doses by inhalation and 17,91 billion Lethal Doses (LD) by ingestion.”
That’s 17.91 Billion Lethal Doses (by Ingestion) chasing the 7.3 Billion of us on the Planet now and there are 1,946 known radioactive killer isotopic poisons in this list. The odds are definitely not in our favor.
But the United States government says that there are no worries about the radiation from Fukushima causing any issues in North America. California is simply too far away.

Let's look at how the Pacific Ocean works:

The Convergence Zone brings prevailing winds and weather directly from the coast of Kuroshio to California. Then the winds push back to Japan via the North Equatorial conveyer. The Hawaiian islands are situated in the middle of the Pacific Convergence Zone.

How can anyone state that radiation from Japan will either not make it to California, or be ineffectual when it arrives?

Misinformation, disinformation appears the be the disease in this information age.

So let's cut out the middleman. Have you had your dose of radiation today?

The University of Hawaii in this graphic has illustrated how the Fukushima radiation will spread across the Pacific Ocean to North America.

In addition, here's a map of Japan and the radiation that presents itself into the different parts of the island: Japan Radiation Map.

Radiation and Fukushima with Greg Barnes

Interview with Greg Barnes on the radio show: The Broad Perspective.

This roundtable discussion centers on Greg Barnes' educating the public about radiation, different kinds of radiation, and how radiation affects the body. He talks of the foods that are alkaline to the body. Mr. Barnes also shares information about alkaline water.

The main points are to protect yourself from radiation, avoid seafood, and lessen the chance of cancer through due diligence as well as to find alternative energy sources including zero point technology and nano solar (liquid solar cells).

The interview then moves into the realm of conspiracy: fact or fake including the TSA. 9/11, drills, false flags, and LAX shooting. Then the roundtable discussion gets into the real financial system, fiat currency, and martial law.

The first segment is very interesting and delves into the fact that the U.S. is downwind from the radiation at Fukushima, that fishermen are not catching sardines and other fish, and that starfish are melting near the Washington and Canadian coastlines.

The situation at Fukushima is serious and it is about time the United States as well as the rest of the international community interjects to solve this humanitarian crisis that is affecting the whole of North America and Pacific Ocean before it is really too late.

Meltdown! Why Fukushima Needs to be Cemented In and Others Arrested

Staff Writer, DL Mullan

Japan cannot handle its failed nuclear reactor. After the tusnami hit in March of 2011, the situation keeps getting worse and worse at the plant. Yet there are no government calls for intervention in Japan for world safety, nor is there any call for people on the west coast of the United States to evacuate or buy Iodine.

Such a serious situation and mainstream media and the American government are silent. Yet the Department of Health and Human Services can buy 14 million doses for government employees without question. Isn't it time to end the media blackout and begin having a real dialogue with the American people?

It seems as if the United States government wants to cause problems, create panic, and introduce counter measures.

When in fact the American government should be pressuring Japan publicly from the beginning to get this disaster under control.  Reports of sea life dying in the Pacific Ocean in record numbers as well as Geiger Counter readings all over the United States hitting three and four times the normal natural range have been documented.

Believe we are safe? Think again. Watch this short video update:

Fish or Not to Fish, Dinner Decisions

Staff Writer, DL Mullan
Health/Life Style
________________________________________

Many Americans love to put seafood on their plates. Why not? It's supposed to be a healthier alternative to red meat. Plus, seafood tastes wonderful!

Thanks to corporate and government irresponsibility, the oceans of the world have become over fished and polluted. Moreover, the oil spill and subsequent spraying of Correxit in the Gulf of Mexico has left that food source poisoned and some areas dying. Fukashima radiation has made this food source from the Pacific Ocean inedible as well.

Unless the seafood you are eating comes from Alaska or Northern Atlantic areas, seafood is not a viable option for eating anymore. Most fish from private and foreign fisheries are not healthy either.

What to do?

This article was inspired by the "12 fish you should never, ever eat." In reality, any fatty fish will contain a host of carcinogens, PCPs, mercury, and possibly petroleum and Correxit, if from that region.  Fish with less fat to them usually contain less of these horrible chemicals. If you choose farmed fish, then you are now eating antibiotics and other veterinarian pharmaceuticals. Foreign farmed fish are not as regulated as U.S. companies are and their fish could contain other contaminates in addition.

But back to the question of what to do? Research the Gulf Coast and the oil spill before buying any seafood from there. Ask why there is a mainstream media black out of activists if there is truly nothing wrong.

Search how radiation from Japan's failed nuclear reactor is affecting the Pacific Ocean. Ask why the government is not reporting on the radiation levels and has shut down it's detectors on the west coast, especially in key areas.

Ask questions. It's your food. Your health. Your life.
