Winter has finally arrived in the Valley of the Sun. A freeze is expected overnight as temperatures dip past 32 degrees in many outlying Valley locations.

So wrap up those outdoor pipes and keep a dripping faucet on overnight. Make a safe place for outdoor pets. Cover your plants and bring potted ones inside or close to your house.

It is already a cold day out there so bundle up!

What to do: Too much Holiday Food, Not Enough Storage?

After the holiday feasts are done, you discover yet another sale item you did not have time to cook or use. Be it: potatoes, butter, cheese, or milk. What are you going to do with all that overflow?

Easy: freeze it!

Milk in its regular plastic jug can be thrown in the freezer before opening. Butter and cheese can be tossed into the freezer as well.

Potatoes take a little more planning. With any vegetable some boiling and blanching are in order, but in the end you have saved your perishables for another day.
