End NAFTA, Tell Senator Leahy

Staff Writer,  DL Mullan
NAFTA / Senate
__________________________

Senator Partick Leahy was interviewed today on CNN about President Trump's new bilateral agreement with Mexico. Stating in part that not including Canada was petty.

Here is my rebuttal on the Senator's Contact Form:

Senator Patrick Leahy:

“Excluding Canada, NAFTA won’t pass the Senate. I mean, the only way it passed last time was because Canada was part of it. It sort of falls in the same category, we’re all waiting for Mexico to pay for a wall. … Canada is our greatest trading partner. It comes across as petty.”

Here’s a clue, Senator Leahy: I WANT NAFTA REPEALED. SHREDDED. BURNED IN THE TORCH OF LADY LIBERTY FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE.

Free Trade agreements are not about economic give and take; they are about merging countries together under an unelected bureaucracy. No thank you. You can keep your superstate and the treason that is named: Globalism.

I don’t want it. No one who understands NAFTA wants the agreement to remain intact.

I realize I am not from your state, but I heard your interview and this rebuke is my answer: the only thing petty is dragging Americans and the world down into the mud just to make some spoiled imbecile richer. Globalism has destroyed lives and livelihoods.

Time for a new strategy. Instead of stomping on people how about government officials learn to bring people up. It’s always been my philosophy: if I go up, you go up. I don’t step on people to get anywhere. As Americans, we should be treating others as well as ourselves this way. It’s called respect.

Rip up NAFTA, return to bilateral agreements, and show some respect for the rest of us.

Make it happen.

Thank you,
DL Mullan

Have Contact Form fun of your own and contact Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont about your views about NAFTA... here

Be civil but direct. The Senate works for us. Let's respectfully remind them of that fact.

“They used to call it NAFTA. We’re going to call it the United States-Mexico trade agreement. We’ll get rid of the name NAFTA,” Trump told reporters. The name had a “bad connotation,” Trump said.

Good.

Happy May Day, All You Protesters

Staff Writer, Nicole Meyer-Greene
Holiday / Protests
__________________________________

During my childhood, I was taught to leave little baskets of food and gifts on neighbors' doorsteps. As an adult, I find that May Day is more than an innocent holiday but a day of protest across the globe.

Here's a taste of what has been happening the last 24 hours:

Russia revives May Day demonstration tradition on Red Square
Police crack down on May Day protests in Turkey, Cambodia
Councilmember Sawant to march in May Day demonstration
Protesters defy May Day demonstration ban in Istanbul
Today on the Hill: May Day marked by protests to fight attacks on work

Since the decline of America via economics, social engineering, job displacement, and debt was created and implemented by the elite ruling class and the central bankers, one would believe Americans would be out in droves to protest the breaking of unions by politicians and secret trade agreements by governments and corporations.

But, nothing.

Americans still believe that the status quo exists.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The American dream is dead unless you are extremely wealthy. The engineered demise of the middle class in America for the United Nation's "social justice" platform carried out by local communities and the federal government has been catastrophic for the nation, wouldn't it be logical for Americans to protest?

It appears the propaganda to keep Americans home and off the streets is working. Americans seem to believe protesting is beneath them when it is actually their First Amendment Right

Maybe next year, when the dollar deepens the American depression through hyperinflation and the jobless will outnumber the employed, will Americans begin to stand up for themselves.

Or perhaps, Americans will continue to believe the propaganda that the jobless are parasites living off the working instead of blaming the politicians, United Nations, and corporations like they should.

Don't believe me, then read up on the Trans Pacific Partnership. It's NAFTA and Agenda 21 on steroids.

National Security is a Joke Because There Is Nun

Staff Writer, DL Mullan
Activism / Government
_____________________________

The United States government constantly cries wolf: We need more technology, more tyranny, more of your rights for National Security! Secret courts, secret charges, secret laws... does anyone else feel like we are living in the USSR?

While America's air defense system can be taken down by box cutter wielding hijackers in midair with magic, high rises can be destroyed by burnt off jet fuel, the borders have remained open, private planes are left unsecured, nuclear plants are prime targets, and yet, the United States government screams: More Surveillance! More Metadata! More Biometrics! More Illegal Searches and Seizures! More Unconstitutional Laws! More, more, more!!!

How about enough, Enough, ENOUGH!

National Security is not what the government wants. It is the total control of your everyday life. It could care less about illegal aliens from Mexico because NAFTA not only created the economic hardships in Mexico driving people northward, the trade agreement created the North American Union that merges Canada, the United States and Mexico together. Even the USDA promotes illegal immigration via the SNAP program (food stamps). So if you believe for one moment that Congress is going to stop illegal immigration, immigration reform, or amnesty, you have another thing coming, it's called: reality.

You've been sold out.

Look at our Culture: Hollywood movies Social Engineer us. Look at our Government. Look at Trade Agreements. Look at our Educational System. Look at Sustainability's Regionalism and the United Nation's heralding Communism. Look at the Police State

If you really believe that the transformation of the United States into a Soviet block country is not happening, then how did an elderly Nun break into a secure nuclear facility?
Nestled behind a forested ridgeline on the outskirts of Knoxville, Tennessee, is the sprawling Y-12 National Security Complex, America's "Fort Knox" of weapons-grade uranium. The complex's security cameras and machine gun nests are designed to repel an attack by the world's most feared terrorist organizations, but they were no match for Sister Megan Rice, an 83-year-old Catholic nun armed with nothing more than a hammer and bolt cutters.

In the dark morning hours of July 28, 2012, Rice and two fellow anti-war activists bushwhacked up to the edge of Y-12, cut through three separate security fences, and sprayed peace slogans and human blood (see below) on the wall of a building that is said to hold enough weapons-grade uranium to obliterate human civilization several times over. They remained inside Y-12 for more than an hour before they were detected.

"The security breach," as the Department of Energy's Inspector General later described it, exposed "troubling displays of ineptitude" at what is supposed to be "one of the most secure facilities in the United States." At a February hearing of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, multiple members of Congress thanked Rice for exposing the site's gaping vulnerabilities. But that didn't deter federal prosecutors from throwing the book at Rice and her accomplices: Greg Boertje-Obed, a 57-year-old carpenter, and Michael Walli, a 63-year-old Vietnam veteran. They now sit in Georgia's Irwin County Detention Center, awaiting a January 28 sentencing hearing where a federal judge could put them in prison for up to 30 years.
If you haven't figured it out by now, National Security is for us, the American People. It is not for enemies foreign or domestic. Those enemies the government wants you to be afraid of simply don't exist anymore or never have.

The enemy the government is afraid of is: YOU.

Isn't it about time you took off your Republican and Democratic hats and began standing up to the government that sold out back in 1913? Isn't it about time we reinstated our Republic?

Don't our progeny deserve it? Or are reality shows and sports more important?

Remember, if you aren't part of the solution, then you are part of the problem. So what are you going to do about our aggressive National Security agenda?

Mad Canadians Call for Intercontinental Action Against Corporate Trade Agreements

Staff Writer, DL Mullan
Trade Agreements / Treaties / Government
___________________________________

We can tease and make fun of Canadian sensibilities and stereotypes all day long but the fact is residents of Canada are piping mad.

NAFTA, WTO, TPP, and now CETA... Who could blame them?

According to the Trade Justice Network, CETA is:
The Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement is being negotiated as a “next-generation” free trade deal that goes beyond NAFTA and the WTO in shielding corporate activity from government controls. The draft agreement includes extensive chapters on services and investment, government procurement, intellectual property, and standards and regulations. It will also contain a controversial NAFTA-like investor-state dispute process that allows corporations from Europe to directly challenge and sometimes overturn Canadian laws that interfere with profits – even for public health or environmental reasons.
So on January 31, 2014, there is a call for an Intercontinental Day of Action! Here's how you can participate in your local area to bring awareness and help stop these horrible trade agreements and treaties from becoming laws in your country.
No more NAFTA — 20 Years is Enough!
This is a call to action for communities throughout Mexico, Canada and the United States to join together on January 31, 2014, and say “ENOUGH!” to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the pending Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and other corporate “trade” deals. Solidarity actions elsewhere throughout the globe are also welcome.
January 2014 marks the twenty-year anniversary of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), a pact that has had devastating consequences for working families, small farmers, indigenous peoples, small business and the environment in all three countries and beyond. The pending Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) has been described as “NAFTA on Steroids.” Four years into the TPP negotiations, this new corporate power grab threatens to:
  • Destroy livelihoods and accelerate the global race to the bottom in wages and working conditions
  • Further commodify agriculture, trample food sovereignty, hurt small farmers and contribute to forced migration
  • Enable new corporate attacks on democratically-enacted environmental and consumer protections
  • Undermine global economic stability by prohibiting effective regulation of financial markets
  • Reduce access to life-saving generic medications, increase the costs of prescriptions, and restrict freedom on the Internet
The harm that NAFTA has already cost our communities, and the new threats that the TPP poses, must be both acknowledged and resisted. We also need to spread the word that since NAFTA, when people have come together across issue areas and across geographic borders, we have defeated similar corporate power grabs like the Multilateral Agreement on Investment (MAI), the Millennial Round of the World Trade Organization, and the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). We will do so again with the TPP.
We are calling on you to attend, and ideally help organize, a demonstration against NAFTA and the TPP in your community. An international march is already planned for Mexico City, and people are already beginning to organize actions in other cities.
Get involved now and save humanity from more globalist catastrophes.
