Boris dissipated as a tropical storm over Mexico, but that didn't stop the hail and wind storms throughout the midwestern United States last night.
The sun is active and inactive. No sunspot eruptions. No heavy solar wind. Yet, the huge filament blasted in an impressive 360 halo eruption. The Earth will not get the brunt of the filament since the blast was focused to the southern and lower quadrant.
More mutiny in the politics of climate change. Maybe people are beginning to wake up and acknowledge that there is more to our weather, climate, and atmosphere than others would like us to believe. It's time for some real science.
Creatures of the Pacific Ocean are not doing well.
